Full Fledged Farker
Doing my annual friends and family Christmas Rib cook this weekend. Normally, before vac sealing and freezing, I chill the ribs in a cooler full of ice water. But I noticed it's going to top out this weekend around 20 degrees. So was wondering if I wrapped them loosely in foil (or in a tented pan) and left them on our patio table, would the cold weather actually chill them faster than ice water? Not to sound (too) lazy, but I can't say that I'm exactly thrilled w/ the prospect of messing w/ a cooler full of ice water in a garage that's only going to be a few degrees warmer than it is outside... so thought I'd try something different!
