BWS w/Expanded Metal Grates?

I like the BWS smokers (Party and Fatboy) very much but I am not a fan of the grates. Is it possible to get expanded metal grates for them. Does that even make sense for those smokers? I wish my WSMs had expanded metal too.
 
Go for it, I think you will be pleased with the outcome. We usually use 3/4" or 1" angle for the frame on larger grates but recently made a set for my son's cooker approximately 26"X22" and used 1/2" square tubing for the frame; they are plenty strong. The expanded metal also seasons up great.
 
the new g2 party and chubby have nice heavy duty grates. that said if you want expanded metal go for it.
