Contest Announcment Downtown BBQ Showdown- Meridian, MS

The inaugural Downtown BBQ Showdown will be held on August 27th! This is a KCBS backyard contest with total cash prizes of $5,000. The competition will be on the front lawn of city hall in Downtown Meridian, MS. We are looking for judges and teams! Follow the link below for more information!

Grand Champion: $1,000
Reserve Champion: $600

Chicken and Ribs categories are as follows:
1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $400
3rd Place: $300
4th Place: $150
5th Place: $100
People's Choice Category
Pork Butt (meat provided)
1st Place: $500
Total Cash Prizes: $5,000

We became aware of this after having started promoting the Meridian contest. We have been sure to mention Meridian in all of our ads to hopefully avoid confusion. Thanks for letting us know though!
