Here is the start of my journey to bring the $50 dera back to life.

I am going to have the fire box sand blasted next week. Everything else only needed a little tlc with drill and wire wheel and looking good. Working on the inside of smoke chamber now. I read somewhere not to paint the inside. If that is the case do I just clean best I can and then just put oil on it. More to following. For what ever reason the pictures are right to left.

Lookin' good!! Yep, no paint on the inside of the cooking chamber. Just oil and then build a fire to season it.

Looking good. I'll be taking a grinder to the base of my 'dera today and adding a fresh coat of paint.
