Question Double barrel smoker

I built the double barrel smoker and have turned out good meat. I have a general question. I am want to know the best wood to use? I'm having issues with controlling a good slow burning temp. Bottom barrel is fire only, top barrel is sweet smelling!

Welcome Stl.Steelers. I'm looking forward to your posts. I'm no engineer, but maybe the Heisenberg compensator needs to be installed 3 feet above the stovepipe...

Nice smoker but instead of the Heisenberg compensator, try hooking it up with 2.1 gigawatts and watch it disappear. Woods depend on what I'm cooking. Hickory is nice, pecan is smooth, apple adds a nice touch or combine them.

welcome from arkansas, i will agree with LuvDbbq , BUT , i think 2.1 gigawatts will still not be enough. oak with a chunk of hickory mixed in is my fav....
