Well Heck, buddy of mine just called. He has 3 of my mobile BBQ Smokers
down on Galveston cooking BBQ for the disaster and repair crews and needed a 4th Mobile.
Just waiting on security procedures to get on the Island. probably be ther till Wednesday.
He fed 5,000 this morning so far. great guy to do that for em.
heard they are gonna open the Island next Wednesday to all to come back in. That's good finally.

They are still under martial law for a few days due to no power, emergency services, etc.
problem I have is making a snap decision on which pit to take.

take the offset with the upright cab, you could hold food as it comes off and not worry about a line. I dont think the hungry worry about the "show". just cook em some good grub

Buddy of mine in Spring Branch who was running a staging area for first responders told me the other day that some guy showed with 1,000 chickens from a large company and then some guy with a huge pit showed up to cook em. Good people still exist.

Dave, that's a real cool thing y"all are doing. Please keep us posted.

The stainless offset, it won't get upset by a bit of wet which is bound to still be around, despite the flood water having receeded!
