Great looking pit! While The Beast is nothing compared to Ole #7, I can only echo what you have said about Steve and Tom at Lonestar. They are a great bunch of people and build an amazing pit!

It's a beautiful pit.

I do have one question though:

How come you didn't get the large?

First I will say, it has been an extremely rewarding experience to be able to work with such a great group of folks, namely Steve and Tom from Lonestar. We now have a custom pit that will handle our needs and also be, what I consider, a showpiece for the BBQ world. While in Houston, I met and was able to spend some time with Gordo and Bad Santa, also Lonestar/Bates owners. All I can say is what a great bunch of BBQ folks from the State of Texas and it was a pleasure to meet you and be able to spend some time with you guys talking BBQ.

For any of you who are on the fence about purchasing a smoker, talk to Steve and Tom. You will be rewarded for taking the time to do so. And, don’t hesitate much longer, steel prices are rising drastically. Steve told me that the price of steel had gone up about 20% since I placed my order.

You won’t go wrong with Lonestar and the guys there will bend over backwards to get you what you want at a fair price. Steve and Tom, THANK YOU for a job above and beyond what I expected and Steve, take care of yourself and get some rest!

Hey Chief, Thanks for the kind words and thank you for your business. It was a pleasure working for you. It is still a thrill for me every time somebody hooks up and pulls their "dream" out of our shop. Thanks again.
