Maverick ET-7 Amazon Sale
Just saw the Maverick ET-7 on sale for $28.19 + free shipping. I was thinking of adding the dual meat temp ability. Anyone have any negative experiences with them?
And before I get all the helpful messages about other brands/models, I have a ET-732, BBQ Guru, and a Thermapen...I love my other therms, but am looking for specific info on the ET-7. Thanks.

I bought one of these too. I don't use the wireless function since I'm outside anyways but it's worked fine the one time I've used it. Will use it again this weekend so I'll post up again

I didnt have this model but I have a ET_73 and hate it, the wireless readout is worthless I have to get within ten feet of the base unit when in the house to get signal. If you are just looking for a dual temp probe then it would be alright but not for the wireless feature.

I have an ET 7 and it works fine, but don't use it wireless. In fact, I find most of the ones I have don't do a good wireless job so I just use for temp.

I don't see a range listed on the Remington, any idea if that is also the same as the Maverick? If so, that looks like a nice buy.

I could've let you have mine for free ... but I threw it in the trash because I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I have had several ET-73's. They suck and are unreliable. Other than that they are ok. I wish there was another cost effective solution.....

I also have the newer ET-732 but I still get wild temp swings and don't believe the temps after several uses. I think there is a problem with the probes but I have no data to support that. I stick with the they suck and are unreliable. Maybe they work great in China....

I got a really cheap wireless set from my local grocery store, (HEB) and after a year and a half it still works great! It cost about $15 I think and the range is pretty good. I can go in the house, go up stairs and sit down at the computer while watching the temp of my brisket outside! Only one probe though. Here's what appears to be the same model at Amazon. P.S. I will add that I did have to replace the probe about six months ago but it was my own fault for having it in an over heated cooker. I was cooking on the Webber kettle and the temp got away from me.
