Default Meat Thermometer Help

I have 3 thermoworks oven thermometers I have been having issues with them. They told me it was a moisture issue from being in the smoker. So I called maveric they told me you should wrap your cable with foil to keep moisture out. So do any of you wrap your cables with foil? What thermometers have worked best for you?

My solution was to quit using them. I don't like the accuracy or the hassle. I check temps when I foil and have a good idea of when to start probing or taking Thermapen readings.

Agreed. I got one as a gift and it's been incredibly inaccurate and inconsistent. I just quit using it all together.
