Chicken and Ribs
I am helping with a fundraiser for my sons school and am struggling with quantities. I need to cook chicken pieces and Ribs (spares) for 20 people. The whole "bone in" issue is throwing me off, does it effect how you calculate quantities? I will also need to do beans and Slaw... Thanks for any guidance?
Was thinking 7-8 slabs and 16 lbs. chicken pcs. am I close? |

if you have 1/3 rack of ribs and a quarter chicken per person that should be more than enough (bone in for the chicken) . 4-6 ounce per person on beans and slaw.

Always figure chicken quantities by "pieces" not by weight. Same with ribs.
