Default Thermometers

Hello all,

I had purchased 2 thermometers, one for pit temp and the other for the meat. The problem I ran into was that I think they were on the same frequency. So it was kinda useless with the beeping.

I was wondering if it happens to any one else?
My solution though, was to get a
Maverick et732 or what ever the that number is.

I was actually kinda suprised to find that my grill thermometer was so close, after I snapped the picture the et732 showed 443

Be careful with the Maverick sensors, not sure what temp they max out at.

I think they max out around the high 500's (572 seems to stick out). They are nice units. I hope the next one is expandable. Like being able to monitor multiple meat temps.

I would even like to see it iPhone compatible, where you would have to transmitter at the pit and then you could customize multiple temps on the iPhone (meat and grate temps) and label them, like Pork Butt Upper, Turkey lower, Fatty middle....or something to that effect.

Just ordered an ET-732 yesterday. Can't wait to try it out. I love my thermapen (use it mostly for brewing) but it will be great to have a reference without opening my smoker lid.
