Default LEM #8 200 watt Grinder

Hello Brethren,

I found this on Craigslist and it's only $30. I'll only use it for making hamburgers. . . Does anyone have any experience with this model? Am i throwing my money down the drain?

I looked at the LEM site and the Blade and plastic (yes plastic) gear is still available as replacement parts. So, LEM still supports this old dog.

Thank you for looking.

I think you will be just fine. Just try it before you hand over the cash.

Grind up partially frozen meat--it grinds better. And also put the head of the grinder (if it comes off--i'm assumign it does) in the freezer for 1 hour before grinding.
