Default Pan Fried Catfish Anyone

Had not fried anything for a long time. Picked these filet's up at Costco. Can't say they were outstanding, just okay.

This really brought back some memories from years ago. Using this same Cast Iron skillet, sitting on a pond bank catching catfish and cooking them right there. That was some good eating!

Just need some fries and hush puppies, and I'd be a happy man.

Those look real tasty, what did you use for the coating/seasoning? Maybe you should just drop some by the house... Logan, UT isn't that far is it?

They looked better than they tasted. I am thinking user error, I should have thought it out and added some seasoning to the Cornbread. The ones I remembered from the past, the Catfish itself had such a great flavor, nothing more was needed.

Those sure look mighty tasty. Ya think they are farm raised? That might explain the difference between them and the ones you caught back then.
