Default UDS Diameter?

What is the diameter of a 55 gallon Drum? Picking one up tomorrow and I need to know if it will fit in my car or whether I need to take my truck.
Thanks,
Jed

depends on the drum. Mine is ~22.75 in. OD.

I believe most are around that dimension. I would expect 22.5 to 23.5 OD. Err on the side of caution though and take the truck.

Most of the closed top drums I've seen have an od at the top lip of 22 5/8". Open top drums have a slightly larger od right at the top lip.

Before anyone asks, they are usually about 35" tall, 34.5" from inside bottom to the top edge.
