I couldn't tell the difference from beef. There was no game taste at all. It was slightly tougher that most steaks, but not out of what I would consider to be normal.

Unfortunately no. But I do have a brother in law that is a big hunter and taxidermist. He travels to hunt a good bit and get's some pretty exotic things in the shop from time to time. I've told him he never has to ask me if I want any meat from whatever, the answer is always yes.

I miss those annual Elk contributions to the freezer from my uncle. He is getting on and no longer hunts. Thanks for making me crave the largest of the deer family when I have no ready supply!
