Went there last night with the family.
Our experience was EXCELLENT! Food was great, service was great, a few small hiccups (the place just opened Friday), but overall excellent. It is not the place for you if you're looking for huge portions, however. Well, unless you buy two pounds of brisket and a full rack of ribs....I guess you can customize your portions.
I even checked out their (five) big smokers.
And the pitmaster was...strangely familiar.
You won't be sorry you went.

Chuck

And so self-deprecating, judging by the write up in Newsday...

Got a chance to stop by tonight with a friend and I really enjoyed it. I got the 1/2 rack st louis and brisket, mac and cornbread. Everything was great, I like their spicy sauce and added a little to the ribs and brisket, everything was tender and juicy. My friend actually like the rib I let him try, which is a difficult task as he claims he's just not a "rib" guy (how???) He really like the sausage he got and wings. We'll be back for sure, so far the best I've had on the Island.
