Made the best hamburgers last night that Ive ever had and ever made in my life. I like to make what I call Ranch burgers. Started with 1.4 lbs of that new Beer Lion Butchers Brand angus beef. 80/20. Stired in a packet of Ranch dressing powder; a good tblsp Lea & Perrins worcestershire; one egg; and about a tsp of my garlic powder. Worked them up into 6 thick burgers and dropped them onto my Weber that had original Kingsfords fired up and ready.

In the meantime, I sliced up a big yellow onion - 6 thick slices. Put a pat of butter on each slice and soaked them in some New River Pale Ale.

Grilled the onion and the burgers perfectly and melted a slice of provolone on 3 of them and then put them on Martin Potato buns which were also grilled. Guys, it was as good as sex. Not chittin ya. Sorry no pics, we ate em before I could grab the camera.

OK there's food porn and then there's erotic food stories... DAMN that sounds awesome! Will definitely have to try that!!!

Now I'm going to put my Pop Tart in the toaster and eat breafast... farker!

Yeah Jeff I went back and read it and I got my self all worked up too. Im in a Panera sipping on coffee before I have to go catch my first call. Im thinking I can blame the flushed look and the sweat on the brow on the coffee. The people here will surely think Im viewing porn. But its not. Really its not. Its food porn.

I just realized something: Ive got a real problem with this site. I SHOULD be looking at real porn. BREASTS for Gods sake! But no, we're talking about burgers. I need councelling.

Dear Brethren Letters,

Things like this never happen to me, but I've got to tell you about it . . .

Sounds like a burger fit for a King!

I think my wife would think I was more "normal" if I spent my time viewing porn instead of on this site. Go figure...

Counselling starts when you order plastic blow up BBQ toys.
Or when the center fold of your magazines is a Brisket.

The best Burgers I make have Chopped Japs and Crushed Pineapple in the meat. The heat and the sweet combine and my son just loves them.

When the heat and my seet combine it's painfull.

The Brauma burgers will be on the grill in a few minutes. I'll take pics if I can keep the crumb snatchers away long enough.

Edit: Time out. Won't be puttin the burgers on until the grease fire is out. You can get a chargriller up to 700* or so.

Brauma Burgers. Followed the recipe except I used Michelob Amber Bok to marinate the onions and couldn't find potatoe buns. I do like provolone on a burger. This is soft core food porn. No meat showing.

I love the table cloth, Kevin!

Mark, the burgers sound great! I may try them this weekend.

Also, one of my favorite burgers is the Blues Hog Pork Burgers

Blues Hog Pork Burgers

2 pounds ground pork; course grind
2 teaspoons blues hog rub
1/3 cup red onion; finely chopped
1/3 cup blues hog tennessee red sauce
6 hamburger buns

Gently combine pork, onions, rub, and sauce

Gently form six 6oz. patties, handling as little as possible to avoid compacting it.

Grill to desired doneness. You can baste with Red Sauce if desired.

BTW, I think these would be very good with Jay's Hen and Hog dust and one of his sauces. I'm goin to try that soon, too.

Burgers look great Kevin. 700 degrees? you could make pizza burgers at that temp. Or go into competition with Ruth Chris's.

There's a story behind that tablecloth, but that belongs in woodpile.
The burger recipe was a big hit here. My younger son has an aversion to onion. My normal mix includes dry Liptons onion soup mix. He won't eat em. Using the Ranch dry mix changed that. He ate 2 and was after mine.

Damn. I have not had dinner yet after a meeting and I have to open this post.

Guess I will go eat the leftover scrambled eggs :frown:

Wow thats like Dejavoo. Great pic Kevin. Glad your son liked it.

Table cloth with no chicken tracks. Disappointing.
