Default A little Beer Can Chicken tonight, I am starving!!!

Well, the plan was to cook some beer can chicken tonight, unfortunately I couldn't find my holders. So I thought to myself "I guess I will just make some". They are not fancy at all, but could be with a little artistic touch. I guess they will do for tonight though!!! Maybe I will have to make some more and add a little of the artsy touch next time. That might make them a little more fun.

I will post a few pics as the chicken cooks later. Wish me luck!!!

If your as handy with the chicken as your are at fabbing up some holders you do not need any luck.
It will turn out great!

Decided to throw some Moink Balls on as well. Too much grill to waste a fire on just two chickens.

I decided to do one SpatchCocked Chicken. The other one has some bacon covering up the top to trap some of the steam from the beer can and hopfully the chicken will absorb a little more. Plus, there is nothing that bacon won't make taste better.

Moink Balls with homemade pepper jelly from peppers grown in the garden.

I went by Wally World today and they had some holders marked down to 3 bucks. Not nearly as nice was what you made, but workable. In the days before holders were invented they just put the bird on the beer can. Not very stable, though, and easy to tip over.
I also like the bacon wrap on the one bird. Very classy!

I think that i could make them with the base that is customized a little and people would go crazy over them for about 10 bucks or so. I would just have to figur up my cost and time a little but I think that's about ballpark

I could cut lettering or logos in the base, you get the idea.

Good lookin grub! And great fab work! Just bought a Miller 211 and a Plasma cutter this week. Hopefully one day my welds will look as good as yours! Have to find time to practice! It interferes with my smokin'!!!!!!!

Not much for welds there, just some heavy tacks. Have fun with your new equipment though. That's always exciting.

That is what makes having the equipment to fab stuff so mush more awesome. All it takes is an idea, a scrap pile, a beer (purely for measurement of course) and a couple minutes.
