Hiring this one lady was probably one of the best things I could have done. Apparently over the weekend she plugged the restaurant on TV, and she talked to the producer and they want to have me on the show to talk about the place and even do a cooking demonstration on the air. Crazy.

that place will be packed with eager customers for sure

I sure hope the Brethren get the notice on the soft opening so we can possibly meet you and enjoy the works of your labor.

I'l certainly give notice in here. I'm shooting for this weekend, but with this permit snag and the holiday, I'm guessing it will have to be pushed back until sometime next week.

Staff is coming in tomorrow for training and my food guy is coming to take the order, so everything should be in place and ready to go as soon as I can get the green light from the HD.

But I still need these idiots to return my damn phone calls! I need an electrician to get in here and move one of my 20 amp outlets about six feet so I can plug the CVAP machine in. And the guy that was supposed to be taking care of my fan seems to have disappeared since Thanksgiving.

Going to try to soft open this weekend, but if the HD can't get in before then, we'll just fill the restaurant with family and do a private dry run.

This process has certainly shaved a few years off of my life. The last few days I haven't been able to sleep. So for instance, I pulled an all nighter last night and came into the restaurant at 4 am just to try to be productive.

Keep your chin up. Someday, this will all be a distant memory, and the day to day operation will be what keeps you busy.
