The teams asked for something heavier and we delivered! We also tweaked the grate design to give you better searing marks and more even heat distribution all at the same time! The center section can be left for design or converted to more grate space. The grate weighs between 13 and 18 lbs when fabricated with handles. I can also make parts of it with a griddle as Skip from Swamp Pit BBQ requested in his for his famous "Skippy Burgers". ![]() ![]() ![]()

My new grate is great!!! :)
The room for the burgers is awesome. Much better then my little cast iron on the weber. Keep 'em coming Brian. Have you come up with a weber coal grate. The ones in the 18 and 21's always seem to fall apart. :(

Definitely. My coal grate on my 21 is warped broken and just plain ol' wasted. If you have time then make me up one. I'm sure there are others who are interested too.

Those are beauties. I was wondering how the kettle will withstand constant 13-18#.

Its absolutely awesome Brian. Can't say enough.
I suggest any brethren who likes their weber kettle to consider one. The steel hold heat which really help on long cooks. It cleans well seasons easily and really offers a nice alternative to the flimsy wire ones that weber uses in the 18 and 21's.
