BBQ does make the best breakfast, but I say skip the sweet stuff. Chop that meat and mix into your oats then top it with an over easy egg (think grits & eggs). Keep the dark berries cinnamon and almond milk as a side.

I don't get the artificial sweeteners myself. Just like the butter/margarine/butter issue, how many years before we go back to real sweeteners like honey for health reasons?

Now BBQ for breakfast! That's a step in the right direction to get away from those bad preservatives in your cereal, dried fruit, etc.

Actually, Stevia is an herb. It’s one of the low glycemic alternatives to “normal “ sugar that I attempt to follow. Organic Maple Syrup-Organic Honey and some molasses’s. The berries are organic black cherry and organic blueberries. Stevia, to me anyway is an alternative not artificial option.

The book and the food list, if interested. I’m not perfect at it but I’ve lost a tad over 47# in 14 months while eating quite well from this extensive low glycemic food list.

Personally I like sweet and savory, I like the idea of topping oats and fruit with meat.

Thanks! It's good to now that one isn't a chemists dream in a test tube somewhere. I have been known to use carrots for sweetness myself. I have bees so honey is a good thing in my world, as are bees themselves. Molasses and 'real' Maple Syrup are in my pantry too.
