Default UDS Weber lid handle and hinge mod

Just wanted to share a mod I just finished on my UDS. I think you'll like it. I know I do and I haven't even used it yet...lol. Pulled pork this weekend though.

Nice hinge. I like it. I have been wanting to add a hinge to mine, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I don't know about all that N8man...lol. I just throw stuff together and it seems to work. Thanks for the compliments though.

Taking an idea and making it happen is awesome. The build itself is looks good and well done regardless of the welds.

The first smoke with the hinge and handle mod went very well. You wouldn't think it be a big deal just adding a hinge and handle but I wanted to make sure that I didn't add any unwanted air leaks in the lid and cause temp fluctuations. Did a 12lb butt that took 14 hours and it held a constant 240°. Very happy with it. I didn't get pics but my Mom did. So as soon as I get a copy I will post them up. Next up will be a paint job.
