Hi GGW, I did answer your question in an earlier post. But yes, I did use my new weed burner to preheat the cabinet. I think it did a fair job. I could feel heat raidiating from the inside, after I shut the weed burner down to cool.

The guru did well keeping temps nice and steady for the 15 hour cook!

We had to disassemble the crate and pallet in order to roll the smoker out. What a job that was. We were joking we wanted to take the nail gun away from the worker who put this together. You never saw so many nails.

Yes, I had mine delivered to my house, because I do not own a trailer LOL! I think I mentioned earlier that getting the cooker out of the crate was a bear!

I am happy for you that your long wait in now over, and you finally have your smoker! Congratulations!

Soooooo…… when the first cook?

Unfortunately, I only took one or a couple of pictures that were done before the cook started. I will post them, when I get a chance to sit at my computer at home. I am currently at work (5:00 AM). I know… I'm a slacker! But there will always be the next cook!

It' supposed to be in the 20's tonight and low 30's tomorrow night. I'm a Florida boy. Think I'll wait for better weather.

I don't blame you! We are getting a taste of that cold front tonight, into tomorrow. We have a little freezing rain coming down at the moment. If this was Saturday I would be cooking inside, and not out in the cold!

Its a compressed hardwood scraps that's supposed to just give off smoke and smolder. I'll have to buy some. Its supposed to be pretty consistent.

As promised. A few pictures from my second cook.

Prepping the Boston Butt with some PloyBoys.

Brisket prepped with home made rub. Mostly black pepper and Kosher salt, But I tossed in a little turbinado sugar, paprika, and garlic powder.

The cover is off and we are ready for roll out into the driveway. She is one clean, mean smoke'n machine!

Charcoal chimney is stoked, and weed burner is next

Plenty of room for circulation even with 2 full size foil pans. The grates are 24" deep by 27" wide, but the interior of the cabinet is 26" deep by 30" wide.

Plan to season tomorrow and smoke some loin back ribs on Saturday.
