Academy has a sale on the Sierra II EZ UPS right now. 10x10 for $49.99 and 12x12 for $79.00. I've got the EZ UP that has the extra little top that allows smoke to go out and have been grilling and smoking under it for three years with no discoloration.

Cool. I'll run by Academy at lunch time. I am planning to eventually pick up one of those custom cartoon banners with some sort of bogus "team name" to impress the guests.

Look on Amazon. We bought a 10x20 wedding canopy party tent with carrying case for 129.98 shipped. There are several on there.

I have a 10X10 easy up that has mosquito net sides. I just use a cheap tarp from lowes for a sun block side. The screen walls are pretty necessary in buggy south Louisiana. It is much easier to spread out and set up with 2 folks. To do it alone ya can stake down one leg and carefully open it from the catacorner leg. Easier with help though.

I have a Coleman Max 12x12 canopy that I LOVE. I hadnt thought to use it for long cooks, as it typically just travels to car shows and camping, but ill be looking into sidewalls for it and setting it up for the next cook when its snowing or raining!

FYI, those are the EZ-UPs that give EZ-UP a bad name. We've had 2. one has lasted a few years. the other one didnt last 30min from time of set up. (Sierra II's)

10 x 10 EZ Up works for us.
We have three of them so our set up is flexible however, the rain can be an issue and a pain. I want to get a 20 x 20 as every contest we go tends to be during a storm.

In addition the Sierra II is actually only an 8ft x 8ft canopy with a 10ft x 10ft base (slanted legs). Which is decieving when shopping.

I agree, if you go with EZUP go above the Sierra Line and note the Canopy vs. Footprint sizing when shopping.

Check out craigslist too, I just picked up a commerical grade10x10 EZUP with sidewalls, awning, roller bag and banner sleeve for $150 that was used only once. - same as this model

I recommend a slightly different approach. I'm a pharmacist and do cancer research.

I suggest that you rent a heavy duty one (better UV protection) with at least 1 if not 2 sides. The photosensitivity reaction is nothing you want to mess with. Rent a tent bigger than you need so that you can enjoy some of the good weather without worry.

best of luck on your Easter cookout and on your treatments.

Bought two caravan ones on overstock.com, 10x10 straight legs, think they were 80 each, light easy to move made it through one season so far, so for the price i'm good with it.

Went to Academy at lunch. The Sierra box was marked 12x12 (81 square foot shaded area). Where I come from, that means the canopy is 9x9.
