9800mAh is big enough.
I am using 4000mAH myself.

Ok, next question.
If the power is interrupted by unplugging the battery and plugging in another battery, would the controller maintain the programmed settings and continue the cook?

Controller has "memory", it will continue uncompleted program.
Before you open the cover of smoker, you can switch off the controller.
After you check the meat, you can close the cover, then you can turn on the switch.
By changing battery, it is same as turn on/off switch

If you want to start over, you can press button of "AT/M",
New Program will start

#5. I owe one set to pixcolor
Thank you for this very generous offer, I will gladly test a QMaster senior and then post a review for you. I use an UDS so I think I need adapter C. I don't mind which color, but if I have a choice I would go with black. Do I need to send you my address?

I am using my Golden Lion right now - still going strong.

please click http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MESE:IT
This way I can take use of a special mailing service, which is faster and safer.
Senior is basically same as LION but without WIFI.
But Senior has 4 meat temp. stages too
Also Senior adds alarm sound on/off button, neighbor friendly.
Hope you can post reviews under Qtalk.
Pictures and videos are welcomed.

I really like the look of the unit. Especially in black. Makes it look like a fun toy for adults with the row of colored buttons.

Outlet of Senior is variable voltage in PID control mode.
The fan will run faster or slower.
Other competitors have simple on/off relay, the fan simply either runs or stops.

Attached is a video of old version of Golden-Tiger, with wireless remote control
Senior is upgraded version of Tiger.

Same price to everyone.
But if you post review/testimonial on BBQ forums, facebook, twitter, and youtube. If one post on youtube or BBQ forum attracts 1000 visitors, I will send you a free set, if 5000 hits, I will give you 5 set free.

GURU DigiQ post has hundreds of thousands hits.
so 1000 hits must be an easy job

Important Change: offer of Free set for hits does not include Facebook and twitter.
People there seem not interested in BBQ, just a social gesture

QMaster-Senior package for BGE $168
DigiQ is $325, Amazon link http://www.amazon.com/Big-Green-Egg-...ref=pd_sbs_k_3

Technically, Senior has outlet of variable voltage, in turn variable fan speed.
DigiQ has on/off relay, fan either runs or stops

Senior can define maximum output of fan. Say if you buy a 50 CFM fan, extra cost $10. By programming a parameter of Hdc as 30%, 50%, 80%, your fan is indeed acts as 5,10,30 CFM. This way a 50 CFM fan can suit for small medium and large pits.

or just look at the size of AC/DC adapter.

Why special offer of $99 is only given to old customers

Dated back in 2009, none knew me in states.
In other BBQ forums I was treated very badly and people thought me a big moron.
Old customers bought my products under such condition.
Some left me positive feedbacks
Others even helped me without any payback from me.
They deserve this special offer.

Dear new Brethren, Please be understanding.
