Yours looks like its going to be a mighty fine stick burner as well. Will be nice to see the final product.

Very nice! I just got my 30x24 vertical offset from Lone Star Grillz last month and I love it! Chris really does a great job of putting them together, the quality is as good as anyone's!

Thanks! You made an excellent choice in pit builders. I think that before long Chris is gonna be busier than a one armed paper hanger after the brethren are done ordering pits from him! LOL! Can't wait to see your pics after you get her home! Happy For Ya man!

Maybe I'm holding up progress on your orders !!!

my 24" Vertical w/ Insulated Firebox on 4 weeks ago.. Not exactly sure when it will be ready (Chris initially told me 6-8 weeks) but I plan to follow up again next week. I ended up adding a charcoal basket to the order just to experiment...I also ordered a custom cover from GrillWrapz .com

I got the charcoal basket as well as the ball valve drain. I'll be interested to see yours as well as how the timeline worked out for you...

I second that! Chris is top notch to work with. I was one of the lucky ones. I ordered my trailer pit and only had to wait 3 weeks. He hadn't got busy yet.

He builds a quality product that I know you will be more than happy with.

Did you get a welded 1 1/2'' coupling so you can screw guru / stoker fan 1.5" Ball Valve Adapter into the firebox? If not, you can. I also got him to drill me a 1/2" hole to main compartment for meat and grate probes. Just make sure the probe path is away from the hot air path cause it can keep burning up your probe wires.

I did not. He is going to call before he starts it to discuss and see if I want more changes.

I will also add that I had my pit delivered to me. It was pulled from Texas to Iowa. Everything was ok besides at some point and time, someone had taken the wood rack out of the firebox. My guess is when the driver had stopped for some rest and fuel or something, because he did say that the pit gained a lot of attention at every stop.

Chris mailed me a replacement rack with no questions asked. Pit was delivered on a Saturday and I had the replacement rack by Wednesday.

Like I said, his quality of customer service is top notch, along with his work. He will definitely be the one to build my next pit.
