I have been welding on and off since college with stick welders. I wouldn't say I was a pro but I can lay a decent bead. I picked up a lower end wire welder and I was amazed how easy it was. My wife even helped on my grates!!! I told her it was like a really hot glue gun....lol

I have been told that they do but I haven't had any luck finding one.

Absolutely freeking love it! To top it off if you make the charcoal basket adjustable like the Big Poppa Drum...similar or the same concept it would be icing on the cake and be an incredible versatile smoker and grill for ya.

Good gosh man... you could sell those puppies and make bank.
Meant to ask, what did you use to buff the inside and out of the drum?

I did a good burn in it then hit it wit a wire wheel. The inside had some pitting and wire wheel didn't quite get it all so I sprayed it with some ospho to kill the rust. I plan on going over the inside again with a wire wheel, wiping down with ach and season with some lard.

Ok Guys..... bare with me. I ran out of Oxygen for my torch last night So it may be a few days before I can get started on my lid. Got to have my torch to bend my handles. Stay tuned and be patient

Thanks!!

Also.... need some feedback. I was thinking of putting another shelf on the other side to match. I really haven't made up my mind. I kind of like the way it looks now. Or if anybody has any other ideas you would like to see I would like to hear them.

You'll want to be able to close off that exhaust when you're done cooking...Do you have something that will plug those up air tight? Cork might fit ok in the chrome tips but what ever you use just make sure it can cut off the air. It'll save you tons of fuel!
