they are full size sacks. shucked, you can barely fit a sack in a gallon bucket.

I can see the point of these, especially if you are like Jeanie, and mostly get jarred oysters. I get fresh from the water and can shuck a Pacific coast oyster in seconds, no problem for me to cook them in their own shell. But, I can see where folks would enjoy these.

Maybe I'm spoiled by endless fresh seafood but I have no idea what I would do with that thing. Do you put an already shucked oyster in it just to suck it out of something like a shell?

That would be great Bob! Sometimes I wish I lived closer to the ocean.

I want to pile as many goodies on top of the oyster that the SS shell will hold.

We just buy fresh schucked oysters and use muffin pans. One dollop of garlic butter and a dash of Tobasco sauce in each topped by an oyster, cook till the edges are firm, swallow, repeat!!

we eat most of them raw out of the shell, I had a vision of you spooning an oyster out of a quart jar putting a drop of hot sauce on it and shooting it.

when i eat them raw, i just fill up a bowl and grab a stack of crackers and go to town. if the fam had to wait for me to open them, we'd probably all starve. not to say i couldn't open an oyster (i have a great unused oyster knife), but i haven't opened any in 25 plus years. i'd probably be better at it now than i used to be, but to get a sack opened for a ten spot......

Yeah. I guess it's the liver of the seafood world. I will eat them smoked though.

I like the SS shells. Looks like you could find many uses for them on a grill or smoker.
