I was eying that exact model for months, but I took the advice of many and "went one size bigger." Ended up pulling the trigger on the longneck 60 deluxe with chargrill. Love it!

You got any pics of that longneck doing its thang? I'd love to see some pics of it loaded if you have some to share.

Got a 48 original a couple months ago - couldn't be happier - thing is built like a tank - temp control is a breeze - almost feel like I'm cheating.

That thing is impressive! I too am in the market for a Lang and may pull the trigger on one this week. That said, my current cooker (POS-COS) is 20x30 and I've only filled it once. I think I'll be buying a Lang 36 as anything larger would be more than Id use.

If you are eying that, get a 60.

You guys keep saying go higher than the one I want and I have been looking at the 60 which would totally give me what I want and need. I just have to save a little longer because i want a char-grill on it too. I haven't decided yet, but I am definitely listening you all's advice.

Recently a unit at the military base I work at came in pulling a Lang 60. It's the first time I ever saw one, and I want one even more now.

This is just me but, a 60 is 2x the size of the cooker I have now that Ive only filled once in 5yrs. Honestly, I can't fit enough people in my house to justify more cooker size-wise than I have now. The 36 will be fine for me. A ~17% increase in useable cooking surface will be more than adequate for my purposes.
