Being from Eastern NC, I make my own sauce, but I would not hesitate to use Scott's BBQ sauce in a pinch. I don't have stock in the company, but I have turned many of friends on to it with great reviews.

Give it a try, it has the heat you are looking for.

For something different, try this:

This is the local BBQ sauce I grew up on. It's a vinegar hybrid.
