It arrived. When I plugged it in all I got was an alarm. The battery light was on, so I assumed it was because there was no battery. However, by twisting the plugs where the probes plug in, I was able to stop the alarm, at least for a while, and get a reading on the display, until something moved again. Is it worthwhile for me to open it up and have a look?

Same thing happened to me. I tightened the connectors and the connections. Then I unplugged the AC/DC adaptor for about a minute, plugged it back in, and all was well.

You need to push probe connector to full position.
the lesson is that I must change to a BIGGER connector of probe in next production

I pushed and squeezed and got it to work for a few seconds while I held it. Otherwise not at all. What's the lesson for me?

My Tenergy batteries came today there is still a slight ridge on the battery but no mention of protection on the battery itself. Now for the bad, the battery on the plus side doesn't protrude out like a AA battery so when I install it into the Wgrill the battery doesn't make contact

must be bad soldering on the connector, please open and check it.
In next production, I will change to a new connector
