Default Nice selection of beef and a Kamado at Costco, PRon

Stopped by Costco today looking for Kingsford Competition Briq's and I saw some very nice and HUGE briskets. Also saw a very nice looking "Vision Kamado Series B Smoker" for $569. This Kamado costs more than the Akorn but still less than a similar sized BGE. But it is all ceramic like the BGE, has locking wheels and looks very well built. Costco had full packers and Tri-Tips packaged 2 to a pack. They also had the biggest Brisket I've every seen, 22lbs! Here's some pics.

That's great. Was this at a regular Costco or one of their Business Center locations?

I'm jealous. I've never seen a whole packer in the 2 Costco's near me. That is a good price. I wish they would carry them. That kamodo looks nice.

Didn't think to get a pic of the whole packer. I'm going back this weekend, hope they still have some left. I'll probably pick up a 12lb packer, that's big enough for us. I'll take a pic of the whole brisket if it's still there.

I visited the local Costco today.

My Sam's membership expires soon.

Costco was awesome. Didn't see any briskets out on display, but asked about them. The helpful little gal in the meat dept.said she had 'em in the back........how big did I want it?

I'll be going to Costco from now on. Employees were super friendly !!!

Cut it in two pieces and freeze one?I would be all over that hunk o cow.Sams is very close but I like Costco, just too far to drive unless I am gonna buy a truckload.I do not care for their boneless butts though.I had rather perform that surgery myself if deemed necessary. That BGE knockoff looks pretty nice!

Yeah, Costco and Sam's club both have excellent meat. I'd say its a step below what I've seen at Restaurant Depot, but a step above normal grocery stores.

The kamado is in stock every spring and then goes on clearance in the summer if they still have it. People who have them seem to be very satisfied with them, and with the costco return policy (return ANYTIME), if something does go wrong, you always have more assurance than if you bought somewhere else.

That's less than half what I pay for brisket at Costcos here.
