Default Winter time UDS Pork Butt

Picked up a 10 pound pork butt to smoke this weekend. How long should I plan to have it on? I always seem to underestimate and end up with a late night dinner.

Thinking I might cut it in half and save 5 pounds for the next weekend. Anyone ever done that?
