I have a love hate relationship with pizza that has nothing to do with the Weber or the mod. I do love the mod but always struggle with the peel. The calzone was great because it was easier (for me) to slide unto the grill.

With the mod the recommendation is to bank the coals at the back so you get more of the oven effect. To really get high temps you can then add wood chunks.

It is actually this recipe. I've only tried it with pale ale but it has turned out great each time so I'm afraid to try a different style.

I used to make pizzas when I was in school and I always made some killer calzones in the pizza oven after the boss went home.
Yours looks awesome! Nice work.
