The ring is dented! However, Weber is sending me a replacement ring. Sucks, I wanted to start it up this weekend.

Are you talking about the fire ring? If that is the case don't let that stop you fire that dude up unless Weber said you have to send the other ring back.

Yeah, fire it up!! I just got a new 22.5 WSM for christmas and just got it assembled and burnt in yesterday. I'm gonna light up a brisket on Sunday.

No, it is the main body where the dome connects. It is dented, the coating has flaked off and the dome does not seat right. If I didn't just open it and spend so much money on it, I would just say to hell with it.

That's the important part. Air leaks would make it almost impossible to control temperature (without duct tape.
