Ive done Hickory and Apple. It was awesome. I am going to do Oak next and see how that is.

French Oak Wine barrel staves are the best smoke for Prime Rib/Ribeye roasts.





Maple Mojobricks aren't bad either.

will you come to OHIO just for the weekend b4 Christams- I have these Mojobricks which are an OAK AND CHERRY blend ( specially made for me) - and you can then show me in my brothers new WSM how to do that! that looks so good!

Did mine last year with mesquite. LOVED it. Of course, I really like mesquite with beef. Oak ain't too bad either. If you can find some Jack Daniel's barrel stave chunks it would be even better. (I've been known to pay the exhorbitant cost for their little briquette bags just to get those chunks...)
