No kiddin'! You are speaking my language. In addition to being a lover of all things Weber, I love meat deals. The second week of November a local grocery store always has pork shoulder on sale. I have them grind me 30# and make meatloaf, meatballs, and burgers with my venison. This year my 30# cost me a grand total of $49. I also just bought 21 lbs. of pork loin at $1.99 a lb. I am curing it and making canadian bacon for Christmas gifts for friends and family.
I have seen ground pork on the store shelves in my area creep towards $3-$3.50 a lb. It makes very little sense. All the talk around here is that meat is going to be quite expensive next year. |

Also turkey when on sale after Thanksgiving also makes a good sausage, and cured turkey breasts make a low fat ham alternative great for sandwiches..
Yes meat prices will continue to rise as long as the economy is out of balance. GM now a foreign interest, and the loss of hostess jobs, all add to economic losses which in turn will continue to drive prices up on everything including meat as well as other foods.
