Yeah they really are nice. I have one that I haul to BBQ comps plus I use it for just about anything at home. Thing is, the bags are 1/4 the price of what typical suction machine bags cost because you don't need that textured side of the bag that helps evacuate the air. If you use it a lot, you'll pay for it just in bag savings.
