Default Mmmmm... CAKE!!

Mom, Dad, brother and his family and his in-laws were at the restaurant on Sat. Mom brought b-day cake. This is from my childhood. We call it Crazy Cake. It mixed in the pan you bake it in and has two types of frosting. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1349832168.515757.jpg

Default Recipe

Here is the requested recipe for the cake. Mom's scanner wasn't working otherwise I would have posted the card it is on.

Enjoy.

CRAZY CAKE
3 C. FLOUR
2 C. SUGAR
1/2 C. COCOA
1 tsp. SALT
2 tsp BAKING SODA

1 tsp. VANILLA
2 C. WATER
2 TBSP. VINEGAR
3/4 C. OIL

PLACE DRY INGREDIENTS IN 9 X 13 CAKE PAN,MIX WELL WITH FORK OR WHISK.
MIX LIQUIDS TOGETHER AND POUR OVER DRY INGREDIENTS, STIR WELL WITH WHISK TIL SMOOTH.
BAKE 350 30 MINUTES.
COOL COMPLETELY.

FILLING:
2 1/2 TBSP FLOUR
1/4 C. MILK
1/2 C. MARG.
1/2 C. SUGAR.
COOK THE FLOUR AND MILK TO MAKE A THICK PASTE, COOL.
CREAM MARGARINE AND SUGAR TIL FLUFFY.
ADD PASTE AND BEAT UNTIL SMOOTH AND NO LONGER GRAINY.
SPREAD ON COOLED CAKE.

FROSTING:
2 TBSP COCOA
1/4 C. MARG.
1/4 C. MILK
1 C. SUGAR
2 TSP. CORN SYRUP
1 TSP VANILLA
COMBINE INGREDIENTS, START OVER LOW HEAT TO MELT, THEN BOIL FOR 1 MIN.
BEAT UNTIL THICK AND COOL MARBLEIZE WITH FILLING.

I've always called it wacky cake, My Granny used to make them for us kids on our Birthdays. It's my favorite chocolate cake, Every time I make it It takes me back....
