I smoked a 13lb turkey on my large BGE last weekend. It took a little over 3.5 hours at 300 and it was amazing. I am wondering if I can smoke a larger turkey - 20lbs - without having to worry about the breast getting under cooked while the thigh and legs get burned. I would appreciate any input on the subject. Thanks!

Shouldnt be a problem, usually the thighs and legs also grow proportional ;-)
I hear more often that people overcook the breast when they are trying to get the dark meat to a safe temperature. DM

If you want 20+ lbs of turkey, just smoke 2. You are likely to dry out the meat.

Lots of people will lay small bags of ice over the breast meat to get it colder than the rest of the turkey before cooking. I'd think it helps the bird (whatever the size) cook more even. Others will foil the breast meat for an unspecified amount of time during the cook.
I don't see a problem with the larger bird. If it fits in the egg, it should cook up nicely.
