CL Score - $150 WSM

WOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Persistence pays off! I have been keeping my eye on CL for deals on a kettle (for Moose's FrankenWeber pizza cooker), which I got, and on the off chance someone would throw a WSM up there.

Sure enough, someone did. Said he used it about a half dozen times, & wanted $175 for it. I would have paid that, but offered $125, and we ended up splitting the difference.

The only thing "wrong" with it.............

It hasn't been scrubbed cleaned. Which I'm ok with, since now I dont have to season it!

It has some discoloration in the lip of the lid and the charcoal grate and top grate show normal wear. The lower grate doesn't look like it's been used at all.

I gotta admit, the guy took care of it, and probably could have gotten more for it. But I'm glad he was ok with half of retail

It's an 18.5", which is ok for me. I don't cook a lot at once mostly, and have a mini WSM and an offset to pick up slack if I need it. Besides, I couldn't pass it up at that price

yup! I would have been satisfied even if it had chipped paint and some rust that I had to fix. I got REALLY lucky in finding one this clean for the price I did. I am going to make good use of it for a long time to come!!

Great job. I missed one this morning that was $25, it was posted at 6:14 am. Guess the early bird gets the worm!!!

In the ad, it said the WSM had only been used twice.

I already have 3 of them, so I figure that somebody needed it more than me.
