He owns Franklin BBQ in Austin and is a judge on BBQ Pitmasters TV Show. His BBQ is legendary (and rightfully so)

That's why they are asking for donations. They are paying the production costs themselves. IT costs around $16,000 to shoot it. They have raised $5000 of it so far. They are going to shoo tit no matter what. Just trying to cover all of it through micro donations
