Seems pretty accurate. What is the elevation where you live? Remember, water boils at 212° at one atmospheric pressure (i.e. at sea level).

Finally got my battery/charger yesterday in the mail. I wound up taping the power leads from the Tiger to the connector to check that it would power up, etc., which it does. I've ordered a female connector to match the battery's output to solder to the Tiger's leads - thought I was ordering from a US location that turned out to be Hong Kong (just love Ebay), so another three week wait on that. But I should be able to check everything out tomorrow with it jerry rigged the way it is.

Gizzard, I seem to recall you saying you were going to take a stab at a truly English user manual, but maybe I'm misremembering that. Any progress?

I am at 728 feet, so the boiling point should be 210 degrees. Just about right. I forgot to turn on the light above the stove so the video is a little dark. I may make another one.

You are correct about the manual. I started it and then got hung up trying to get my Windows 7 PC to connect to an Ad Hoc network. Apparently Windows 7 does not like Ad Hoc networks.

Anyway, that got me distracted. I can finish documenting the setup using images from Ubuntu Laptop, no problem. So I will get to it this weekend.

After a lot of back and forth with the seller of the battery i bought, I decided to accept a partial refund rather than wait weeks to ship back the original battery and get a full refund. I am now going to create a frankenstein battery that I will post pictures of shortly.

Here is the Frankenstein battery I am going to try and use now. As you can see, I strapped a 1.5v 1900mah rechargeable battery to the Lithium Ion pack to get enough volts to safely run the Lion. We'll see.

For those interested, as best I can tell these the connector to these camcorder batteries are 2.1mm x 5mm. Radio Shack terms these Size K connectors and has a female one with a switch - you can see at http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...lickid=prod_cs. I ordered a connector off of ebay from Hong Kong for $1.29 but think I will go get one of these from RS.

Should connect to the male power connector coming off one of those CCTV batteries (or the AC adapter) so that you don't have to do any splicing of wires.
