One of my favorite marinades and injections for beef involves bourbon, coffee, brown sugar and honey (And a few other things...). A vanilla bourbon rub might just compliment it to a Tee.

Interesting... I'm anxious to see what it does. I have a 1.5L of Bourbon with ~12 vanilla beans in it. It's awesome mixed with a pint of Robust Porter. 1 tablespoon is just about right. I might have to try injecting a small hunk of beef to see what it does. Cheers!!!

Sound like another winner to me! I love bourbon and vanilla for that matter. Can't wait.

Did you ever tell us who won the battle of Hot Wing vs. Cajun? or did I miss that?

Sounds like you have a perfect injection to pair with this rub.

I love that too. Hopefully I can dial it in!

Hot Wing won but im having a hell of a time getting not to cake. I have to use alternate ingredients that just don't have the same pop. I don't want to release a half ass rub!
