Brethren Brewmaster114 (Matt) at Meyer Metal Works made a cooking grate for my UDS a few weeks ago. Thank you again Matt!
I love it and didn't want to get it dirty! my drum... (it's getting old but still works well) ![]() Matt made the grate based on my "sitting by the campfire in my favorite chair" pic. ![]() ![]() ![]() I broke it in with a greek pork braid... ![]() ![]() ![]() and twice baked tatoes.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I should have taken an "after" pic of the dirty grate. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Thank you again Matt, I love the grate. You do excellent work!! Thanks for looking!

Thank you Allen, Smokendink and Terry! It really is too nice to get dirty but it's too late now.
I love the grate, it's really heavy duty! Matt did a nice job. I forgot to post a link to his site... Meyer Metal Works http://www.meyermetalworks.com/ He also makes killer ABT trays!

That is some beautiful craftsmanship. I'll keep MMW in mind if I ever need any new gadgets fabricated. You also need to tell us about that pork braid. It looks wonderful.

I got the braid recipe from a friend in Germany. I had a list of spices to use but not the amounts. lol I used a teaspoon of each. He uses pork neck meat but I didn't have any so I used pork tenderloin. After cutting them in strips I seasoned them with a mixture of oregano garlic-2 cloves minced onion powder paprika coarse salt cummin rosemary peppercorns coriander and celery salt after braiding the pork I brushed them with olive oil. I also brushed them one time during the cook. The cook took about 45 minutes. It was tasty, I hope to make them again. :) Thanks Mark! Quote:
