This probe was a idea that I worked on with my friend Darren at Maverick. With this probe it can be used as a food probe and a smoker probe. Also it is a straight probe to solve the problem with thick walled cookers.

Very cool idea. All of my probes are working fine for now but when I need a replacement, I will definitely be interested in one of these.

Are you saying that it gives smoker temp and food temp from one probe, or it can replace one or the other ie.. Universal probe.

I just want to clarify that this probe can be used as a Smoker Probe or a Food Probe. It can be inserted in either jack on the ET-732 transmitter.

I just used my Maverick for the first time last night on my gasser, just to play. It was interesting and kinda a PITA. I can see why people do the whole grommet thing.

But the pork loin was one of the best I've ever cooked, maybe coincidence?
