I like the design - smooth - are the grates attached or do they come out.

So did you use charcoal surrounding the Mojobrick or did you use chopped up mojobrick? or did you simply drop two or three in and how long did the mojobrick burn in your wood chamber (how many did you insert?)

The grates are removable but will slide out and stay horizontal. You have to lift the back end of the grate up while its slid back to remove completely. Mojo worked well just putting a couple in at a time whole. No charcoal, charcoal gives off a wierd taste/smell in my opinion. I think mojo works well as a charcoal replacement and maybe some chunk wood like apple or hickory for smoke and mojo as heat source. Now if I had apple mojo that would be awesome.

That looks like a well thought out, well planned and well executed idea.
You should give yourself a pat on the back. Time to start thinking about manufacturing potential and warehouse space.

The warehouse space is the problem right now. I just build them as they are ordered. Sometimes keep a couple on hand but its pretty expensive to have one built that isnt sold already. Right now I am trying to design some options for the thing. Either accessories or tools to use on them. Ideas, comment?

Nice looking Pit. I know a few people have asked and maybe I have just missed it, but how much are the pits?

ok, this will be the biggest one I have built of this model. Just got an order for one to be mounted on a trailer 1.3 times as big as the normal size. And its going to double as a charcoal grill, the whole thing not just the firebox.

Great looking pits! Sadly, I won't be able to swing one at this time. But you can bet if I get a pit with a firebox it's going to be one of these. Talked to brewman on the phone, really nice guy and you can tell his passionate about what he builds. I thought the price was pretty decent as well considering the amount of space you get to cook with.

I will be building a bigger version of one of these for a guy as soon as I get all the parts in. Will be on a trailer when its done. After giving it some thought I think i will build myself one as well. But instead of building a bigger one, I think mine will be two regular size ones with the fireboxes mounted opposite each other and the smokers will actually be back to back on the trailer. In front of the smokers I will put a couple of turkey fryers and a triple basin sink and water tank. I prob wont have time to build anything for myself for a while but could work on it here and there until I get it done. Ofcourse if someone sees my progress on it and the price is right it would take priority for a customer. Any Ideas or recommendations for additional equipment, tools or accessories that might be good on a trailer, please speak up.
