Looks delicious. I haven't tried cooking tri-tip yet, but I sure look forward to trying some.

This is the rub I use...

3 tablespoons Kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper, medium grind

I do a reverse sear on mine...smoke with oak @ 250-275 to an internal temp of 120 then directly to the coals for 3-4 minutes per side to an internal of 135 ish...
I tried JD's style, it rocks! Ryan, that rub looks great! The meat looks even tastier! You nailed it!

Keale - Where on Kauai are you from? I've spent a lot of time there since my aunt was the publisher for The Kauai Times and lived in Lawai for probably 15+ years.
