Some hearty little breads to munch on while BBQ-ing ?

Looks fantastic - reminds me of a little breakfast pastry I get at this little local coffee place by my house - they add scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese and spices and bake it like that - one of my favorite on-the-go type foods.

found a picture of a sliced one on the web to give you an idea

this is - a kind of - what they look like..

My mouth is seriously watering right now. Those look and sound great!

The rolls look beautiful!

What are you using to measure ingredients in grams, a scale? If so, which one? Any convenient way to convert these to volume measurements? (teaspoon, cup, etc.)

thanks for sharing they look great and the possibilities are endless, stuff that bread with some brisket or pulled pork mmmm....

any serious cook needs a kitchen scale .... I use this one...

  • Max weight 11lbs; Displays ounces/lbs/grams/kgs; Graduation .05 oz / 1 gram
http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Prec...&qid=1389200079&sr=8-1&keywords=kitchen+scale

for the dough try this:
250 g flour ( ~ 2 cups)
6 g salt (1/2 tsp)
70 g butter, (~ 5 Tblsp)
10 g sugar (~ 1 Tblsp)
13 g fresh yeast (2 Tblsp) of 1 pkg instant dry yeast(Fleischmann)
125 g milk, handwarm (~ ½ cup)

Yeah, I know this is a couple years old. Another thread pointed me here and I want to try this. Maybe someone else will too.

Just to clarify...the sausage is not cooked?
