I honestly don't know where to find that. I won a qualifier in 2011 then searched n searched for info and couldn't find any. Mike Lake puts it on. You could try to e-mail Him or KCBS may have an answer for ya.

I wonder if the AR invitational is a qualifier? Just saw that it's in Pine Bluff.

2013 BUTT TO BUTT

I am pleased to announce that Ronnie Cates' (Smoke On The Water) has agreed to become the new host of the Butt To Butt competition. Much to my pleasure, Ronnie Cates organizer and Candy Weaver put their heads together with a few others to help keep the series on going. The format of the event will continue as it has in the past. Ten qualifying teams will be invited to come to Pine Bluff, Arkansas on September 19th thru 21st to compete for $1500 winner takes all cash prize, a unique plaque and of course the coveted boars tooth. Ronnie is also providing a 50% discount off of his entry fee for the Smoke On The Water competition. There is no entry fee for the Butt to Butt competition.

Cooks arrive on Thursday to prepare their butts for judging on Friday afternoon and the results are revealed following the cook's meeting on Friday evening. Judges for the Butt to Butt are hand picked and judges are selected for life. If they drop out they are not asked back, except for emergencies.

These are teams qualifying from 2012, which would have been invited to Butt to Butt in April if'n it were still in Jeff City.

A shame that Illinois, where it all started, doesnt have a contest for the qualifying.
